Thank you for visiting APAA Korea.

Since establishment in 1969 by three countries, Korea, Japan and Taiwan, APAA has grown into an international IP NGO representing Asia with 21 Recognized Groups as of 2021. Along the way, APAA Korea successfully held the 3rd Council Meeting in 1970 (Seoul), the 3rd General Assembly in 1974 (Seoul, 103 participants), the 8th General Assembly in 1988 (Seoul, 509 participants), the 4th Council Meeting in 1999 (Gyeongju, 997 participants), and the 58th Council Meeting in 2010 (Jeju, about 1,400 participants).

The 2022 APAA Council Meeting in Busan is approaching. This conference, which will be held from October 14th to 18th, 2022, will be the first international conference in the IP industry in which the members can safely attend after the Coronavirus outbreak. We expect that approximately 1,300 foreigners and approximately 200 domestic members will attend, including observers from the United States, Europe, and South America, as well as members from the Asian countries.

APAA Korea will do our best to make the 2022 APAA Council Meeting in Busan, the one held after 12 years since the 2010 Council Meeting in Jeju, the best APAA Conference. We sincerely ask for your interest and active participation for the 2022 APAA Council Meeting in Busan to be held successfully, and so that APAA Korea may continue to grow and develop.
